About Us
The Sunshine Coast French Film Festival first began in 2008 when the Alliance Francaise Sunshine Coast began screening selections from the annual Alliance Francaise French Film Festival so that film lovers and francophiles in this region could experience some of the delights of the Festival without having to travel to the capital cities.
Screenings began in Noosa and Nambour with an expansion into Caloundra in 2017. French and English speaking peoples as well as foreign language film lovers generally all enjoyed this initiative and partnerships were formed with the Noosa Film Society and the Caloundra Film Festival to bring film and french culture to the Sunshine Coast.
The Sunshine Coast French Film Festival is now a stand alone Festival, the biggest regional French Film Festival in Australia, operated by the Sunshine Coast Film Festival and sponsored by the Alliance Francaise Sunshine Coast
Members of the Alliance will be at all the screenings to offer information about their activities and to introduce the film.
Please enjoy this year's program and sign up for special screenings we will do throughout the year.
